Hey! My name is Summer and I am a Sophomore attending Twinfield Union School. I am interested in playing the drums, drawing, painting, deer hunting, and the many wonders of the human body!
When I grow up I would like to enter the medical field and become a registered nurse. I have always been interested in the missions field and organizations like Doctors without borders, and Samaritan's Purse. Someday, after studying to be a PN and RN, I would like to go out in the world, join a missions trip, and help people without access to healthcare. I’m also interested in new developing medicines like nano medicine, that someday, will cure cancer. Since classes that go beyond basic Health class aren't offered at school, I would love to take this opportunity to dig deeper in the career I pursue.
What Kind of Student I am I’m the type of student that prefers hands on work than sitting and writing stuff down. Visual tools like videos and 3D models help me learn best. One of my weaknesses is remembering things that I don’t write down, so I always need to have some sort of reminder, whether it’s a planner or some other form. Usually when studying for a test and whatnot, I use flashcards and Quizlet. I work hardest when I work in pairs or groups and I have no distractions.
Goals My goals for this study is to further my learning in diseases, not just the basics like communicable and noncommunicable, but other forms of diseases, like genetic, brain, and diseases brought on by animals.
